Our Partners

There are two types of partners, those who we can help and those who can help us.

Shown below is a list of the organisations who supported us during the evolvement stages of The Wills Family Foundation and whom we are looking to support in the future. Whilst also being introduced to people who are in contact with them who would benefit with help from our Foundation.

Brian House

Brian House is a specialist unit within Trinity Hospice specialising in palliative care for children. It is a fully equipped children’s hospice and caters entirely for children who live on Fylde Coast. As one of only a handful of local children’s hospices in the UK it currently supports over 80 families.

The Christie Charitable Fund

As one of the largest cancer hospitals in Europe, The Christie treats over 40,000 patients each year from across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.  Patients are at the heart of everything we do and  thanks to donations to the Christie charity we are able to provide a range of enhanced patient support services in superb facilities over and above that which can be provided from NHS funding.

Facilities such as our new Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) treatment centre which opened in 2014.  Children, teenagers and young adults up to age 24 are cared for in an age appropriate facility with specialist staff and activities to support them through cancer treatment and to help them pick up their lives again when they leave hospital.  Looking to the future, Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) is coming to the UK and The Christie was chosen as one of only two NHS hospitals to offer this treatment from 2018.  PBT is particularly important in the treatment of children diagnosed with brain tumours and hard to reach cancers.  The introduction of proton therapy to the UK will bring this revolutionary treatment closer to patients who currently have to travel abroad to receive it.

Rosemere

The Rosemere Cancer Foundation is registered with the Charity Commission and forms part of the charitable funds of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Vine House

Vine House is where local people can obtain both Cancer advice and support.
During one of our recent visits to Vine House having had a tour of the premises the principals explained that they needed to refurbish a treatment room at a cost of approximately £4,000. We were delighted to be able to support them in achieving this by providing the funds from The Wills Family Foundation.
Once again due to the support of everybody who has contributed to the charity. Thank you!
